the original Lodoss was actually just D&D session transcripts, a la modern "actual play." they were published in a games mag & meant to demonstrate D&D to Japanese audiences. this is those in full, with the original illustrations, character sheets, everything!

Been working on the morning lighting for the protagonist's bedroom. Working hard to give it an anime and 90's Asian feeling.

Videogames are generally boring and predictable. Reject being a slave to consistency. Explore new ideas at a whim. Change your mind often. Hide behind the "Early Access" label forever. VR is inherently absurd (the co-experience of two dissonant realities). Embrace it.

The game has the most realistic guns in VR, and talking Hot Dogs. That juxtaposition is the handshake. The possibility space to play in is -everything- in between those things I fucking feel like actually.

I appreciate people honestly suggesting Linux but…

Spending one second of my life wondering - is this an issue because it’s running Linux?

No

I remove anxiety from my life.

I hate technology.

This is all just a tool for me to use to create outputs, I have no fascination with the machinery.

There's an interesting problem in digital preservation, which is that preservation only exists actively. Only the things you actively move to new formats, survives.

Community is probably the same way: it has to be actively maintained in order to outlive whatever spot it's currently in.

Right. AI is only useful when you can force a source of truth on it to prevent hallucinations and invalid outputs.

Like Autodesk's Generative Design. AI is used to rapidly iterate against a set of known constraints.

Part fails FEA = iteration fails, reiterate
Where people are erring is in using it in cases where they cannot validate, or validating takes at least as long as doing the work yourself would do (as in this case). The fact that the validation gets dumped on someone else makes it particularly egregious.

Hello bluesky, I'm Patrick. Me and my talented co-developers made a game using GZDoom, a source port of the classic Doom engine. Here are some screenshots of our work. We'll be posting more of these. Consider reposting and following us to help us rebuild our audience here. Thanks!

With all the new people from twitter, I'm here to say this again:

This site doesn't function like Twitter. It relies on interactions through shares and comments, likes are not as important. Likes do not push posts like the other two do
