Demolishing the East Wing of the White House before finalizing plans for what will be built above its ruins is a near-perfect metaphor for Trump's approach to economic policy. The only difference is the wrecking crew doesn’t claim the rubble is evidence of unprecedented growth.

I think it’s important people know the lengths we go to make sure what we report is accurate. I know not every outlet does this, and as a reporter it can be frustrating to spend days/weeks looking for another source to verify a single detail for a story. But yeah, it matters.

Here is my peace plan for Ukraine/Russia.

1. Russia gets the fuck out of Ukraine.

2. Putin goes on trial in the Hague.

3. Russia pays everyone for everything.

4. Trump gets impeached, convicted, and sent to jail.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

Kids might have seemed “healthier” because they were the ones that didn’t die in childhood.
