Bring back manuals / maps / reference sheets / posters!
Those are great additions to provide extra detail to your game and having something physical to look at while playing. Nice to display in your room too after.

Open World and/or hyper-realistic visuals contribute heavily to dev times. Games don't need these to be fun. None of my favorite games for the past decade have featured either.

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

This. I would be much more willing to listen to your clumsy AI evangelism if I hadn't spent so. much. time. hearing you also tell us about how it was gonna take our jobs and replace our arts and you can't really do anything about it and actually you need to use it and you're backwards if you don't
