I made a simple Data Channel Preset that achieves this based on the re-calculating the normals projected from a world space position.

In general the idea is when 3D printing the tolerances change depending on printer, nozzle, filament type and filament colour.
By cutting in fins you provide a bit of degree of freedom to the parts so they can bend and still provide a snug fit.
