UPDATE: I obtained a copy of the firm-wide email and attachment that Brad Karp, the chairman of Paul Weiss, sent to employees on Thursday evening.

The documents detail the agreement Karp reached with the White House before Trump rescinded his executive order targeting the firm.

Really good thread about today’s hearing. Please read and repost.
HAPPENING NOW: Judge Boasberg is presiding over a hearing regarding whether the Trump administration violated court order temporarily barring removal of Venezuelan migrants.

He kicks off by questioning DOJ about the timeline re: when flights took off on Saturday.

Summary of the Boasberg hearing:

Judge: how many planes took off yesterday and how many people were on them?
Govt: We can't tell you.
Judge: Why not?
Govt: It's a secret.
Judge: What kind of secret?
Govt: that's also a secret.

Did he also leave a fifty dollar bill on the chief justice’s nightstand? Or did it go on his tab?

It’s the latter
Agree. This is gullibility masquerading as objectivity. Or worse, it is cynically promoting a dangerous lie because it is the path of least resistance with higher ups.
Pretty amazing to read news accounts implying that Trump's claim that he wants to "determine" if Zelensky is serious about peace before resuming aid to Ukraine is an actual intention on his part.

We've been, correctly, beating them up for not doing anything. Today they did something and they deserve credit. Nice job, Dems. More, please.
1. Today, Senate Democrats showed spine, and killed a national transgender sports ban bill via filibuster.

Not a SINGLE Democrat voted for cloture.

S. Baum writes about what happened today, including some of the speeches.

The failed legislation reflects a wider effort to disallow trans women (or anyone suspected of being a trans woman) from women’s sports and spaces.
