Cats, cheese, chocolate, Chris, comedy, crafts - all the best things begin with C; oh and origami.
I’m extremely jealous of this book
I've been doing a fair bit of origami lately cos of a neat little book I got on holiday in Japan.

I finished the book today so here are all the cranes it gives you paper to do:

A really original way of displaying a 1000 cranes. Myles custom built the inside of the 120 x 70 cm frame to create a dual shadow box. 500 strung cranes are on display at the front while 499 are hidden at the back. Myles has left the last crane unfolded so the owner of the wish can remain open.

A lovely collection. I have enjoyed the origami, the photos and of course Stanley.
Crane day 100! Here's the group photo for the past 100 days of folding. I'll post a top ten photos from this project in the next few days, too. I've learned so much about origami and paper, and I've maybe not been as daily-mindfulness-exercise-of-creativity about it lately, but it's been lovely.

Some beautiful designs here Linda modelled so well by Stanley
Cranes days 76-85. A couple of extra-fancy cranes for the long gap between crane posts. The rainbow wreath is made from eight separate sheets, as is the box with the crane lid. The crane with the puffy tail is just a variation on the standard, but all three projects were very fun to fold.

To those saying “It’s not the Brexit I voted for”, you voted for an impossible fantasy, sold to you by grifting gobshites with no interest in reality or what was actually possible. You got exactly what you voted for.

A beautiful idea. I hope a bit of peaceful folding time helps x
3/ Thus, I committed to folding a paper crane for every day of this second Trump Presidency. To create a small piece of art in the midst of all this ugly destruction. To spend the time folding meditating on things we might still hope for and peace for those who need it.

I know exactly what Helen means 🤣 I’m also a big fan of rabbit ear folds.
Today's #origami bear face has squash fold ears.
There's just something so satisfying about squash folds.

These are absolutely smashing. I’m sorry Stanley didn’t appreciate them though 🙀
Cranes day 51-52-53. I've been folding some more complicated cranes, inspired by @clairefaulkes.bsky.social. This photo was taken moments before Stanley got sick of me messing with cranes and ran off in a huff.
