Why did the origami paper refuse to be folded?
Because it didn’t want to crane its neck! 🐦

For Wellbeing Week, we've got lots of mindful activities for you to do, on your next study break - why not have a go at origami? You'll fine some new origami paper, with cute bird designs, in the foyer.

Happy belated #SeaSlugDay
Happy #SeaSlugDay! Here are some of the #origami #nudibranchs that I have on display at the #Glasgow Art Club through 22 Nov.

On the wall is the unfolded crease pattern for one of the designs I make on repeat (foreground of the other image, copper and tan).

Working on new designs for sacoglossans!

If you're on the Black Isle on Saturday the 28th, come join waterwayscollective.org for an afternoon of beach theatre, microscopes, zine-making, and meditations on smolting.

We have a new #plankton net to try out + I made an #origami mayfly nymph, which was fiddly.

This tutorial is an ingenious photo frame by Larry Hart. It’s a really useful fold and fits a 4 x 6 photo or postcard if made from A4. Our beautiful model is the late Tortie in her much younger days 😍

This versatile and simple modular elephant by Robert Foord is our #lastchancetofold video today. I think it’s ideal for show casing your packs of lovely patterned paper. Why not finally open that special pack and have a go?

Today’s video is the Weimar bowl by Nick Robinson. It’s an elegant but fairly simple model. Nick also includes instructions on how to divide a square into fifths. Remember there’s less than one more month before the videos get deleted. #lastchancetofold

A really original way of displaying a 1000 cranes. Myles custom built the inside of the 120 x 70 cm frame to create a dual shadow box. 500 strung cranes are on display at the front while 499 are hidden at the back. Myles has left the last crane unfolded so the owner of the wish can remain open.

Amazing work
I picked up this book Solar Flare at the origami convention. It's definitely one of the most complicated things I've ever folded the instructions were so clear it didn't seem that hard!

The book curls all the edges of the piece but I'm not sure. Thoughts? www.origami-shop.com/en/tessellat...
