Elon Musk and his 19-year-olds have now disrupted the approval of medical devices that save lives.

Every member of Congress bears a responsibility to stop this right now.

I grew up going to the NIH for treatment and got to stay at the hotel for kid patients for free. I remember a lot of the kids I met there. It’s heartbreaking to know that there are children exactly like me and my friends who will suffer and likely die because of this.
Amid today’s massive NIH cuts to universities, please know that my research colleagues:

- Develop new cancer treatments for kids
- Are curing sickle cell disease
- Build new tech to help premature babies survive
- Prevent teens from dying of drug overdose
- And more

Why do bad interesting things only seem to happen? Where are the good interesting things? Or the nothing things?

I’ll never shut up about how much this enrages me.
NIH has cut billions of dollars in biomedical funding, effective immediately
The move halts a large slice of money for most universities and research institutions virtually overnight, imperiling vital research in everything from cancer to heart disease.

There's widespread confusion and fear among scientists and doctors on the sprawling National Institutes of Health campus and at institutions dependent on the agency's funding.

Elon Musk's mother moved to South Africa in the year Apartheid was created, and she and Elon left the year it ended. The last Apartheid Prime Minister, a man who refused to testify at the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, was a family friend who stayed at their home. This is not a crazy theory.
What’s his beef against USAID in particu….oh. Wow.

So now I have an "F" on my passport and my driver's license. When historians look at government records centuries from now, they will think I was a woman. This is what it means to be made invisible, to have your history stolen from you.

just want everybody to know that Jordan B Peterson, who would not know God if the assembled heavenly host clotheslined him while he was dashing toward an especially attractive cut of raw beef, has called his speaking tour the "We Who Wrestle With God" tour

My new washer/dryer was the cheapest I could find and it doesn’t beep and has no touch screens. I feel like a millionaire.
I don't want my appliances to be connected to the internet. I don't want them to have blinky lights or touch screen controls or be accessible by phone. All I want is for them to do the one thing they are supposed to do, and to beep less.

Hear that, manufacturers? Less beeping.

I don’t want to create art from a place of sadness and preservation, I want to create from hope because I’m inspired by optimism for the future.
"Things might be tough but it's great for artists! They'll create more!" You might not believe me but going through a lifetime's worth of stress Every Single Week for years and years- is actually not the optimal set of circumstances that inspires artists to create
