I see the phrase "competitive authoritarianism" thrown around a lot on here and while that may be descriptive of the moment we're in I cannot stress enough that you should never say that phrase to a normal voter and instead just say Trump's trying to be king.

ICE complaining about ACLU’s “Know Your Rights” education means it’s working. Everyone in the USA has due process rights. Keep sharing those ACLU red cards which list Constitutional rights. ICE: get a warrant. A REAL warrant signed by a judge

Just please remember that heating nuts causes nut particles to circulate through the air, so don’t cook your pecans without checking on / warning your friends with nut allergies first!
Nuts are an major part of Thanksgiving. The climate crisis has to be addressed at the global level, but consumer choice plays a role. One thing we can do is switch from almonds (R in photo) to pecans (L). Both are similar in nutrition, but it is water use and geography that makes a difference. 🌍 1/4

I’m loving seeing all the posts in German on my Discover page. I’m not loving the reminder that I really haven’t really practiced my German since college…which I graduated from ten years ago…with a degree in German… 😬 maybe I should take this as a sign from the Universe that I should change that?
