I'm sorry, as much as I am enjoying this spat, how can you take seriously someone who spent 100s of millions of dollars electing Trump, then went to work for Trump, left government just days ago praising Trump, and is now calling for Trump's impeachment.

Just unserious people.

Sorry, I've said it before and will say it again. The Tories were the safer option, this labour party is horrendously bad and will usher in Farage and co quicker than the Tories. You know what you get with Tories so you can at least plan around it. Labour lies to your face again, again and again.
Austerity 2.0 while the mega-rich get away with it. Again.

The two most powerful Republican politicians in America - the president and co-president of the United States - are publicly praising and defending and excusing the crimes of a far-right foreign politician who leads a party founded by a Holocaust-denying neo-Nazi.

We are in a very, very dark place.

When some random incel on the internet tells you that taxing billionaires and seizing their assets ‘can’t be done’ ‘will never work’ etc they are conflating this general issue with the personal one of them getting laid.

Superbly written and completely correct by @nesrinemalik.bsky.social. What I don't understand though is a British left leaning commentariat that demanded we vote labour but are now dumbfounded that labour are doing exactly what you'd expect neoliberal politicians to do now they are in power.

Well said @georgemonbiot.bsky.social. Although he and others did tell us to vote labour and all of this was easily predictable a year ago. Our democracy is broken, we shouldn't spend any more energy cheerleading the toxic centre as an alternative to the far right. Both end up with the same outcomes.

We cannot bottle up our righteous fury at forces who are knowing setting the world on fire and actually *want* it to burn because they think they will be safe.

Well, the #bird film is fantastic. Not sure why I was put off watching it before, thought it might have been popular off the back of Keoghan's recent spotlight but it is far from it. It's very Ken Loach but all the better for it. Acting superb, especially the main, natural and unforced.
