I love a good trinket. Library worker, thrifter, also trying to keep my plants alive.
I am "izone pics with my sis in high school" years old.

I had to pick up a turd on the bathroom floor at the library, and that wasn't even the worst thing that happened this week🤣

Librarians aren't going to save us. Librarians aren't superheroes.

They're just people trying to keep largely underfunded and overwhelmed public services going.

Praise is nice; realistic expectations are better; material support is best.

Early November @smileypop28.bsky.social and I went through a miniature museum and made flatlays of our favorites. I finally enlarged the pictures of each of them. 😍

Took (most of) the weekend off to sleep, relax, hike, cook, etc., and it’s insane how much more human I feel. It’s almost like working… too… much… is bad? Funny that !!

learning that Oprah's real name is Orpah is one of those wedge factoids that will permanently destroy your ability to speak normally about her ever again. it alters your brain chemistry. "Do you mean Orpah?" you'll say, every time. if you're reading this it's already too late

support presses like Seven Stories who publish vital, revolutionary books all year long, and take advantage of these free books. plenty of people who were already doing good work who will keep right on doing it!
Over the next 7 days, we’re offering free ebooks of some of our more relevant — perhaps even inspiring — works of radical literature.

Download a copy, share it with friends, then read it together.

It's more important than ever to support your public library. #Libraries are community. They are about opening minds and opening doors. Get a library card, and check out books. Download Libby. Libraries need the stats for funding, which is now uncertain. And thank your librarian.

We love you.

Watched an hour lecture about native blackland prairie wildflowers, and I'm determined to create a guerrilla meadow next door to me.
