If these aren't grounds to eject him from the Royal Society, then what are?

Shame on them.

This is beyond shocking - how can this be allowed to happen? Why on earth can’t they be released on bail? They have a right to a fair trial, appropriate medical treatment, & the removal of punitive Prison Service conditions. Govt’s ban on Palestine Action is simply intolerable

Still can't get over how Apple and Google removed the ICE app that alerted people that ICE was in the their community, but won't remove an app that has an AI tool that creates 'nonconsensual sexualized images of women and CHILDREN'
X’s Grok AI tool is being used to generate nonconsensual sexualized images of women and children. This is unacceptable. @wyden.senate.gov, @markey.senate.gov, and I are demanding that Apple and Google remove X and Grok from their app stores until Elon Musk addresses these heinous violations.
Senators urged Apple and Google to remove X and Grok from app stores over sexual deepfakes
“Turning a blind eye to X’s egregious behavior would make a mockery of your moderation practices,” three Democratic senators wrote to Apple’s and Google’s CEOs.

Yes, the same Palantir that supported mass deportation in the US and enabled genocide in Gaza.

We can’t let a company like this take control of our healthcare system

We cannot allow Nigel Farage & others to rewrite history. If UK News Shows won’t call this absolute boll**** out let’s do it ourselves
If UK news shows are going to give Nigel Farage a platform to spout this absolute boll**** about Brexit & the vaccine rollout (unchallenged) I’ll happily come back every week to correct it.

We cannot allow him & others to rewrite history.

Disrespect law enforcement (according to THEIR definition) and they have the right to execute you on the spot.

That's the implied message coming from Trump.

The USA in 2026 is an immensely dystopian place. Is there any way for it to come back from the brink of civil war?
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

Me neither. "Independent regulators" exist to do the minimum possible while enabling politicians to shrug & pass the buck

I remember visiting the US Capitol building and seeing a model representing the separation of powers and the checks and balances on the executive. I remember thinking it was a nice model.

I don't think it's there anymore.

Probably been replaced by a newer model.
