I'm fortunate to have good parents and in-laws, but I will say that having a child (and thus grandchild) is easily the most effective way to keep them all well-behaved. Normal people don't need to be told "you can and will lose access to watch your grandchildren grow up" to keep it, well, normal.

It’s easy to dismiss this, but you can write off the fascists as being fascists on X the Everything App. It feels significantly worse to get yelled at during your job by the people who are supposed to be your friends and allies, especially when you have to be the one to respond to it.
