I kind of hate defeatist sentiment, especially at work. Like I get we gotta socialize in some way, but have you ever thought that doomerism isn't a good thing? Like what if instead of complaining about solvable shit at work we just worked on solving it? Just, yknow, a thought.

I think at some point in the 2010s social media platforms realized that no feature really mattered outside of the people using it. Features don't matter if all of your friends are still on the other platform. Retention machines everywhere.
