And I know it shouldn't be this way, but how many times have you actually seen a dev speaking out against nasty shit pan out well? not that many times. One thing is to fight for what's right and the other is trying to win a game you lost from the start. There are other ways to fight.

Like, people in a company are still people, but some will never see it that way. Seen too many honest folks in the industry getting death threats for things they weren't responsible. And if the platform holder isn't doing anything to stop this behavior to me it makes sense to just shut up.

To be fair though, social media is as social as gossip magazines. There are entire fandoms and industries dedicated to twisting the words of individual to further agendas and attack others.

There's NDAs, and then there's the harsh reality that in media everything can and will be used against you.
