Despite having watched all of them, there's very few films in this series that I genuinely like.

With that said - I was also obsessed with FAST X and saw it 4 times in cinemas and had an absolute fucking blast each time. Still can't tell you why. This write up certainly made me feel less insane.

Uhh so this is wildly unexpected, but if you live in New Jersey (and I know some of you do) you can see Chris’ two most recent short films - including Passion Pop, the one I worked on! - at KEVIN SMITH’S FILM FESTIVAL in August
So we've just had TWO films selected to screen at @thatkevinsmith.bsky.social 's film festival, SMODCASTLE FILM FEST - PASSION POP and REFUSED CLASSIFICATION

U.S premieres for both films which are screening at the same time on the same day - Sat 9th - 12pm

Discovered that one of my favorite docs of last year, the roundabout PARIS IS BURNING follow-up I'M YOUR VENUS, is on Netflix. It's a deeply moving story about the power of representation and acceptance. Give it a watch, you won't regret it. www.netflix.com/title/82045298

Seeing this in 2007 absolutely re-wired my brain and changed my outlook on film for the better.
#BlackSnakeMoan didn’t deserve to flop the way it did back in 2007, but I’m so excited to get a chance to see it on the big screen again! #WeirdWednesday

Big agree! A big reason why the theatrical cut is still my least favourite cut of Apocalypse Now
will die on the hill of thinking the French Plantation sequence in Apocalypse Now: Redux is great in and of itself, but also great in the context of the movie, expanding its thematic scope while pushing it even further into an unhinged dream state for the final act

Been saying this for YEARS
Blacula is the best vampire film of the 70s and anyone who tells you otherwise gets off on being WRONG or never watched it. ⚰️

(And it’s the best era for vampire movies)

It is SO strange seeing 3-4 movies in cinemas this weekend and none of them being the new MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

Working at NITV on the night of The Voice voting results and none of us expecting how many people would vote No was the coldest reminder to never get comfortable before the results of an election in Australia come through.

Event Cinemas Burwood

Local suburban cinema I grew up watching films in, has barely changed in 25 years, every auditorium is massive and the whole place feels both nostalgic and haunted. Heaven.
