How I feel about the whole Olivia Nuzzi story is that there are a lot of talented, ethical, underemployed or unemployed black and brown journalists right now who are ready to work.

To be honest, I don't even really care that the NYC mayor went to the WH. I think it's weird, but I'm not losing sleep over it or getting a bp spike. I just think it's annoying that he gets a free pass when anyone else making political calculations gets eviscerated.

There's a reason the orange man thinks it's politically advantageous to meet with the lefty messiah. It's because he thinks the fan base of that NY politician who also hates Dems, is gettable for him. Sit with that.

Thank you Rep. Underwood for speaking out! 🙌🏽
When the President has the power to terrorize American communities for his political purposes, it makes us all less safe. It makes us all less free.

I've been trying to do some kind of "adopt a Christmas list" thing through an org. Two different orgs with a ton of lists are already full up! What a wonderful problem to have!!!

I'm dead. I just saw a youtuber describe bland looking food as it looks like it was "made by a woman whose entire personality is hating Meghan Markle."

@drmariamitchell.bsky.social motivated me to finally get into sewing, which I've wanted to for a while, so I took an intro class today! It feels so good to learn something new.

Ahh they really do want to go back to the early-mid 1950s.
The U.S. bishops defended migrant families. Tom Homan snapped. Nan Hayworth called Pope Leo a “tool of our enemies.” Tim Burchett accused the church of getting rich off of sex trafficking.

Matt Walsh, Lara Logan, and the rest joined in. This is what MAGA anti-Catholicism looks like.

It’s the latest MAGA attack on Pope Leo’s pro-immigrant stance. Disgraced border chief Tom Homan — caught taking a $50,000 bribe in a Cava takeout bag — led the charge against Leo and the bishops.

It's ONLY been 65 years since six year old Ruby Bridges walked through the halls of William Frantz Elementary as the first Black child to attend an all white school. Met with mobs and hate, her bravery and courage helped change the course of history for this nation.

This is why we can no longer accept apologies without reparations. This is something that a lot of white men are going to have to learn that everyone else already knows. It'll be a painful lesson, but one that must be learned.
Absolutely correct. So much of the discourse around restoring trust in the institutions is focused on decorum and civility theater. But why would anyone trust the institutions if, after the horror show that we are suffering through, they yet again fail to impose some measure of real accountability?
Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely
