Except ... the U.S. Code uses "Chief Justice of the Supreme Court" in 2 U.S.C. § 135.
Reminder: John Roberts is the Chief Justice of the United States. He is not the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. It doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme, but if you get it wrong, SCOTUS watchers will judge you!
