1/7. 📢Yesterday, the #COP30 Presidency released a draft text 📜 for the “ #GlobalMutirão”, but it did not go far enough to urgently scale up 📈 #LossAndDamage action and support — when we know that developing countries need 395 billion USD 💰 in 2025 alone. 🤯

After about 75 hours spent on a review of the Warsaw International Mechanism for loss & damage – a process that spilled over from previous talks – negotiators are making slow progress at COP30.

A draft text has now been published, but the whole thing is bracketed – a sign of continuing disagreement

Marco Rubio calling SA ‘anti-America’ is the accolade I didn’t expect. 30 years of investing in human rights, a stellar judicial system, modeling international leadership on climate & genocide, progressively realizing access to public goods. Finally some global recognition! We are the anti-America!

The #USA just published their new 2035 climate target, aka #NDC to cut emissions by 60-61% by 2035 compared to 2005

How good or bad is it?
And is it worth anything given #Trump 2.0?
