Good for Denmark and California
Proud to join Denmark Foreign Affairs Minister @lars-loekke.bsky.social and Ambassador Sørensen to sign a new partnership between California and Denmark.

Our message to the rest of the world is clear: California is a stable, reliable partner — no matter who's in the White House.

Putin and Trump might think that they can do a new Yalta and divide the world, but they don't have the power to enforce it. It's a bit like trying to sell your neighbor's house.

A great explanation of the stakes in Western Europe of Russian aggression -- different from direct invasion on NATO's eastern flank, but still far, far more serious than most people realize.
There is a lot of talk about higher defense spending in NATO, but I think many politicians have failed to explain adequately why that is necessary. So in this video I explain what is at stake for citizens in Western European countries.
Why spend more on defense in Western Europe?

I am very concerned when people say the soldiers will resist Trump's pressure. Since Huntington, American officers have been told that it's their task to stay out of politics and just focus on the "how" when politicians tell them what the goal is.
America’s Generals are terrified. They are cowed. They seem unlikely to hold the line and live up to their oaths to serve the U.S. Constitution. Trump violated the law (the Hatch Act) conducting a political rally at Fort Bragg, rousing the troops to cheer his slogans but the Generals stay silent.

What a disgusting, ignorant, arrogant statement by the Secretary of Defense of the United States. Nobody trusts anything he says or does. That’s very dangerous for the US…we depend so much on our Allies. I served in Afghanistan in RC South 2009-2010 where thousands of Allies fought and many died.
HEGSETH: We wore a patch on our shoulder that said ISAF -- International Security Assistance Force. And you know what the joke was? That is stood for 'I saw Americans fighting.'

COONS: Let's just make clear for the record that our military partners in Afghanistan included many who served and died

Obviously this person should not be writing novels but I love the idea that 10 minutes is an unreasonable amount of time to spend writing a decent description of a location
Yes, I think a lot about this self-pub writer who said they use AI to write things like "setting" and "description" which they don't find interesting instead of... figuring out how to write something interesting?
