i loved kids in the hall. discovered the reruns as a closeted trans kid in a very red state, and it was basically the only source of queerness in my life at the time. very disappointing to see scott thompson of all people make that statement

Okay so I've been in a pretty extended depressive spell for the last 6 months or so. have so much trouble admitting I need help. Even here, semi-anonymously, is hard for me. But I want to get better.

Last night my 10+ year old reddit account was "permanently banned due to multiple, repeated violations on your other account(s)." I have no other accounts to my knowledge, and my appeal was denied. As a trans person I feel like I have lost an enormous resource. I wish I knew why this happened.

The thing about being a trans woman is that there's literally nothing you can do to keep scary people from hating you and wanting you to die. You might as well be a completely authentic freak pervert, because no matter how polite and withdrawn you are they will hate you anyway.

I know I'm just kinda shouting into the void here but I wrote a coming out letter that I'm going to read to my partner. I have never felt so scared and so hopeful at the same time. I hope I don't ruin everything, but it has to happen. I don't think I can survive another year in the closet.
