Slick has been given a reprint --now with a fancy sticker on the cover. If you want to understand Why We Are Like This on climate change, or read about things like that one time the oil and gas industry spied on the son of a prime minister, and you haven't picked up a copy, now's your chance!

Over at the ICC, Hungary has submitted its response in the noncompliance proceedings arising from its failure to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu during his recent visit.

Hungary's response is legally flawed and will not avoid a noncompliance finding.

These fascists are just so gosh darn loyal to that red white & blue. Except when they're loyal to the confederacy too of course. Gotta get these confederate monuments back up. The cause of the confederacy has always been American & it's just a handy companion to Trump's ideologies.
This is 100% a Make the Confederacy Great Again EO. It's all abt resurrecting the statues of the generals who committed treason to join the Confederacy. I almost admire the word play audacity in the service of evil in their use of the phrase "false reconstruction" to describe their goal.

Julia is correct and it can’t be emphasized, strongly enough. We’ve seen this playbook, before. No matter your position on the conflict, this is the United States of America and this is a grave violation of Mahmoud Khalil’s rights. If it can happen to him, it can happen to any Green Card holder.
Echoes of Muslim(ish) men being disappeared off the streets of the US during the "war on terror." Some of our Palestinian-activist friends were disappeared, and no idea where they were. Just pray Trump doesn't remember extraordinary rendition.
UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.

The US oil and gas business is a big con.

"The company that a month ago we were assured was worth $110 billion is now worth $36 billion (on paper). Remember, everyone lies about everything in the oil and gas industry. In hindsight, that is looking like a $70 billion lie right now."

Would you like one LESS thing to worry about?

I am here for you.

Stop worrying about how processed your food is!

Sure, plenty of ultra-processed food is total junk, but it's the old-school stuff that makes it bad: calorie-density, sugar, fat, & sodium.

Column | Why you should worry less about ultra-processed foods
What makes foods so easy to overeat isn’t the level of processing — it’s the density of calories, a.k.a. energy density.
