Wait? Can it be true? Do I really have everything I need for the November holiday dinner?

I don't think the release of the Epstein files is going to be terribly satisfying, because the real problem is the impunity of the wealthy and powerful, and until we get some redress and justice that is visible, clear and lasting, people will continue to be angry.

This is MY COUNTRY and I pay for this loser's salary. He's MY EMPLOYEE and it's time he's fired.
Bovino’s rant fits the authoritarian indicators in our assessment: empowered security forces acting with impunity, militarized immigration raids, executive overreach through federalized enforcement, and loyalty-driven ops unmoored from oversight. His tone isn’t an outlier but a symptom.

And now here I am grieving James Garfield.

I often think of what would have happened had certain historical events played out differently. At so many turns, a choice was made that made us worse off.

But who knows? I do wonder though.

This is so sad. My heart goes out to his family, the Laney Community, Oakland and anyone else touched by his legacy.
"His loss leaves a hole in our family and in the Oakland community he served so passionately."

John Beam, the revered Laney College football coach and athletic director, died Friday morning after being shot on campus a day earlier.

Just when my nausea was dying down.
Michael Wolff tried to buy New York Mag — with money from Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

So Wolff didn't just have a reporter-source relationship with Epstein. Nor was Wolff his informal PR adviser. They saw each other as potential business partners.

It's ridiculous to insult someone for being a librarian just because you have a PhD. You wouldn't have one without librarians, whether or not you realize it.

But I'm also really intelligent, so there's that.

We need to talk more about progressives with vitriol towards Black Democrats. The same people who are applauding Newsom now hate Obama and wouldn't vote for Harris.

How are these three much different than one another? One isn't a "magical negro."

Just watched a show about Hurricane Ian and I just don't understand people who refuse to evacuate. I feel so sorry for their losses but I just don't get it.

Not being able to is one thing, but refusing? People are so afraid to acknowledge totally rational fears and it kills them.

Blue dog Dems are Charlie Brown. They think they're sympathetic characters but they're just endlessly gullible.

This is why he got rocks in his Trick of Treat bag, why he ended up hosting Thanksgiving despite not wanting to, why no one wanted him at the holiday party. #governmentshutdown

Someone said Rob Bonta should run for governor and you know what? I'd be happy to vote for him. Of the candidates announced so far, I'm not enthused. Bonta has never disappointed. He was my assemblyperson, and now is Attorney General and he's done a stellar job in both roles.

Jurassic Park films are so formulaic. Heartless company man? ✔️ Kids in danger? ✔️ Big herbivore in grassy valley? ✔️ Chilling along a stream when cute dinosaur appears? ✔️ Humans making extremely daft decisions? ✔️ Predator fogging up glass as it hunts indoors? ✔️

Even the order is the same. 😒

I had no idea Knox gelatin smelled so foul. Makes sense when you think about it though. My grandma made sugar free gelatin desserts using it and Shasta diet soda.

She did grow up on a farm so I can see why it didn't make her want to puke.

It's such a ridiculous claim. They don't live in NYC or CA for that matter, because it's so cheap. They live there for the lifestyle. Good luck finding that anywhere else.

Rich people don't wan to pay taxes because they resent us. Thats it. But WE make the culture they love, not them.

Honest question: Why are people so attached to Columbus when they could more legitimately celebrate Italian-American heritage by honoring Amerigo Vespucci, who the continents were actually named after?

I can't imagine the National Guard particularly enjoy being sent to oppress their fellow citizens. They look like they're having a good time helping instead, which is probably why they enlisted.
