I’ve seen them, so not a lifer, but I’d not made a photo of one before.
That changed with a splash to my left as I was photographing a Yellowlegs.
I looked and she was already leaving the water!

This morning was so calm and this White Pelican decided to slowly cruise the marsh before getting down to some serious feeding!🪶

She flew low down the length of the marsh and it looked like she wouldn’t have the altitude to get over the small hill at the end.
But she didn’t want to fly over the hill! Instead, this female mallard was all in on powering through the curve! 🪶
