I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

No Kings
On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. ...

This took a while to get done, but I've chronicled my day among the protesters in Los Angeles, and the idea that this is anything but a celebration of cultural heritage and a firm, nonviolent demand to protect family, friends and neighbors is totally ridiculous.

Cries of Defiance and Songs of Joy in Los Angeles

These soldiers' commanding officers had a responsibility to instruct the people under their command not to applaud nakedly political statements, and certainly not to boo legitimate, elected political leaders, not to endorse attacks on immigrants. They clearly failed—and need to be held accountable.

Find local advocacy groups for immigrants, trans rights, civil rights, whatever angle you choose. We've already got the biggest prison system in the world. If you don't care about conditions (and they don't) you can fit an awful lot of us in there.
ICE can deport green card holders for engaging in and/or inciting terrorism. Trump will likely use this to justify the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil without a warrant

They've chosen him as their first victim because the Dems are unlikely to defend him

They're testing the water. They will do this again
NEWS: Last night, the Department of Homeland Security detained a Palestinian who helped lead the Columbia encampment.

Agents told him his visa was revoked. He said he had a green card. They were confused—then said that was revoked too.

His attorney demanded a warrant. Agents hung up instead.

Trump is SHUTTING DOWN all 8000 EV chargers at federal facilities

These EV chargers were already bought, paid for with our tax dollars, installed, and operational

THIS is what real government waste looks like

And what does Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, think of this?
