Let’s give it a really big push this week🙏

This is such a good example of an #AirPollution monitoring map. It's near real-time, references World Health Organization guidelines, lets you select pollutants, shows the pollutants' values, and allows you to swap between 24hr and annual means. Nice work @citywestminster.bsky.social.

This occurred, in the constituency I lived in for nearly half my life, one right next to the prime minister’s constituency, no less. For the government to continually bang on about immigration in this environment is to flirt with incitement to murder.

Tightly embedded in residential & busy tourist area but all requests to consider safety of anyone other than fans ignored. Accident data ignored. & so it goes on.

Martyn's law already enthusiastically embraced by B&NES to bar access to info...but irrelevant to resident & tourist safety apparently!

While much of our media focuses on how many people claim asylum in the UK, there's one number that isn't even counted:

The number of people who die while trying to seek sanctuary here.

We know our asylum is killing people. Their deaths must not be ignored.

We are outraged and deeply distressed that armed federal agents came onto our campus—making arrests on the very ground where, in 1942, Japanese American families were forced to board buses bound for concentration camps. It was a deliberate act of provocation and intimidation.

When the inevitable accident happens BANES, Avon & Somerset Police & Bath Rugby will all chorus in unison that "Nobody could possibly have foreseen this" & it will be swept under the capacious carpet with all the other entirely foreseeable incidents that "nobody could possibly have foreseen".
With >100 victims swept under the carpet of yday's news it's disturbingly unsurprising the Rec stadium applicant just carries on refusing to address the existing matchday turkey shoot on & around Pulteney Bridge - & wants to send vastly more pedestrians into the chaos of distracted matchday traffic.

Questions not asked by Bath politicians about the hybrid pitch Bath Rugby sneakily retro-formed by embedding 1000s km plastic filament weeks after submitting their planning appln:
How will they decontaminate the soil?
How many tonnes will go to landfill?
What is the lifecycle carbon burden?
Anyone?
The apparent collapse of global plastic treaty talks yet again is a disgrace.

Fossil fuel interests are holding the world hostage while plastic chokes our oceans and threatens future generations.

The UK must stand firm and demand a treaty that cuts plastic at the source.
Global plastic talks collapse as countries remain deeply divided
The latest round of UN-led talks have ended in deadlock, with disputes over plastic production and recycling.

Meanwhile, complete disregard for safety of local people & tourists is one of the worst & most concerning failings around our local stadium with zero plans to put it right in a new planning appln we were told would address existing failings🤫
