The idea that CFPB is duplicative is horseshit. The reason it was created is that there is no other regulatory agency whose job it is to look out for consumers being ripped off by complex financial products. Thats why ppl like Musk having being trying to eliminate it since its creation.

Honestly the discourse on here is so much better than Twitter. I tossed off a take, people came in to correct me, we had a conversation, and folks were willing to give me grace about the stuff I admitted I got wrong!

The greatest act of defiance is to smile
No, seriously. The best way to survive the next four years is to make positive outcomes in your life, so as to make up for the fact that there won’t be positive occurrences on the news.
Live your best life in spite of that “man” and his corrupt, treasonous “team” of grifters.

To survive the next four years, I’m gonna basically rekindle all the relationships I ignored for much of the previous four.
All the old high school friends. Or, you know, only the ones I can trust to talk politics with.
Because increasingly, the realization is setting in that we’re all we’ve got.
All the old high school friends. Or, you know, only the ones I can trust to talk politics with.
