THE VIBE I BRING TO THE PROTEST:
Just had the first situation with my MIL where she showed us something and it was AI—surprised it took so long! She refused to believe us that it wasn’t real. It was a whole thing.

People simply are not ready for this mess.

This isn’t rocket science. America needs an opposition party willing to be an opposition party.

We do not currently have one.

Hey, you know what?

If we have minimum ages for members of Congress and the President, we should have a maximum age, too. The people running our country need to be sharp, incisive, vibrant, and energetic.

And while we are at it, end daylight savings, good god. This isn’t rocket science.

We've seen what government run by politicians is like. Maybe it's time to see what a government run by scientists would be like.

"We civil servants organized to help our colleagues face the hardship of the shutdown, we put up with the pain and our only request was to not be betrayed like this. Trade our pain, make it count."

I got a little *fired up* during this interview. It definitely doesn’t come through at all…

MAHA’s Gone Viral. Can Science?
Millions of Americans are being fed misinformation on social media that’s been elevated by the Trump administration. A counter movement to RFK Jr. is emerging. Will it stick?

Dems: how about we give you the money and you kill the hostage?

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Great to hear Dr. Ingber—founding director of the Wyss Institute and friend of @standupforscience.bsky.social— standing up for science on @60minutes.bsky.social this evening!

This is particularly enraging because 1) @standupforscience.bsky.social is doing a LOT against RFK Jr/MAHA and we are just getting started and 2) because I HAVE SPOKEN WITH HIS WRITERS AND PRODUCER.

I’m hearing a lot of despair and “what’s the point”-ing.

Here’s the point:

ONE less person kidnapped by ICE.

ONE more child vaccinated.

ONE grant reinstated.

ONE more PEPFAR treatment.

ONE more meal to a hungry kid.

ONE more person covered by Medicaid.

One life is ALWAYS worth resistance.

If @thedailyshow.com can have Joe Manchin on for no good reason, they can have Colette on to talk about these efforts.

We know you’re not actually the news, but that’s no reason to be willfully ignorant, and/or worse to leave your audience uninformed.

Did you know that it would cost between $250 and $400 a month for ONE adult to eat according to the USDA food guidelines?

The issue isn’t red food coloring, it’s affordability. Thanks for coming to my TEDTalk.
