This is what democracy looks like.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our town hall tonight and made your voice heard.

Nearly 2,000 Minnesotans made their voices heard loud and clear: Donald Trump is failing the American people -- and we will fight back.

Trump is letting the richest man in the world wreak havoc on our government. It's unconstitutional and it's dangerous. Democrats must fight back. And that starts by voting no on his nominees. I urge my colleagues to join me. We cannot confirm any more of Trump's chaos cabinet.

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

We should never have allowed the word welfare to be tarnished.

Welfare is objectively a good thing.

Caring for other people's welfare is objectively good.

We ought to have mocked and ridiculed folks using welfare in a negative way for their crass lack of empathy for their fellow human beings.

We're erecting fences to protect property instead of erecting housing to protect people – pathetic.

I'm aware that addressing homelessness is more complicated than just housing, but simply moving a problem out of sight is not helpful, it just allows the privileged to comfortably ignore the problem.
As homelessness grows, so do fences around the Twin Cities
Fences keep homeless people off parking lots, sidewalks and empty properties. Critics say they won’t solve homelessness and contribute to stereotyping the Twin Cities as unsafe.

There should be nothing convenient about acquiring deadly weapons.
Candy, ice and lottery tickets have long been impulse items sold at checkouts in American grocery stores. Now bullets are joining the list of merchandise peddled to consumers as they exit at a growing number of stores around the country.
