Despite what the right might say, both sides know what's going on. We all know Trump is trying to make the US into a fascist dictatorship. The right wants it to happen and are going to play dumb to help prevent the kind of nationwide pushback that would topple a fledgling autocracy

The right may try to justify the ICE officer's actions but in reality, they don't care if it was justified or not. They like that he shot that woman and hope it happens to more people.

Trump supporters are never debating you in good faith. Their goal for any political discussion is never to find the truth. They see themselves as Trump's personal defense attorney in that they don't really care if Trump actually did something wrong. They just want him to get away with it

my daughter's preschool shares a building with a church, and once a week, that church has a farmers market type thing where they give fresh vegetables and food to folks in the community who need it.
if that is the stuff American churches primarily did, things would be way more chill.
