Perioidic reminder that the reason you didn't see autistic people with intellectual disabilities on the street five decades ago was not because they didn't exist. It's because they were sent away to institutions and their parents were told to put away pictures of them.

Not everything is a spectrum and not everyone is on the same spectrum. Words have meaning and there are criteria’s for a reason. Binaries do exist. We all have our differences and we need to learn to appreciate them. Not make everyone the same. #autistic #allistic #actuallyautistic #ASD

I will never apologize for sticking up for actual autistic people. “On the spectrum” refers to being Autistic/ having Autism Spectrum Disorder. When you say “everyone is on the spectrum”, you are literally saying “everyone is autistic” which is not true.
