Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

No, @slotkin.senate.gov — Dems shouldn’t stop using the term “oligarchy”. They should make it a household term. And they should be wary of anyone telling them otherwise.

People know what it means. And if they don’t, tell them. That’s what leaders do.

if you don’t think the current food system is toxic you haven’t been paying any attention to migrant farm workers, animal health, or the impact of industrial farming on ecosystems generally.

it is toxic and a lot of ppl have food related illness and autoimmune issues bc of it

This is right out of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”. The concept of convincing folks that they don’t need certain things and that they are better off now. Trump Admin = Animal Farm.

April book challenge. Post a favorite quote. It has to be from a book or book related.

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig and from pig to man again and it was impossible to say which was which.”

I wish there was a way to distribute 1984 to a huge population. And Animal Farm. My God.

So, due to severe neglect, I didn't do a lot of normal "assigned reading" while in school.

I just read Animal Farm for the first time. I am deeply unwell. The amount of things that line up perfectly with the current state of events in this country makes me sick.

Musk is trying to buy votes in Wisconsin. Resend this if you’re from Wisconsin and you’re not for sale.
Not satisfied with purchasing a Presidential Election to become co-President, Sissy SpaceX now wants to buy himself a Supreme Court judge in Wisconsin.

You can end his shopping spree, Wisconsinites! 🚫 💰

This is super important.

I've got a question for the... More sensitive among us.

I tried to wear synthetic material tonight. Within an hour, debilitating nausea, overheating despite 70° weather, and a migraine started coming on. It abated within minutes when I took the clothing item off.

Has this happened to y'all?

so far I'm seeing a lot of universities respond to grant terminations with

"oh I guess now we don't have that grant anymore"

instead of

"your assertion of a grant termination is executive overreach, see you in court"

So, universities: respectfully, what the fuck?

AOC: What they like to call as radical, I believe is common sense.

I believe that when a person gets sick, they shouldn’t go bankrupt in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Common sense

I believe that a minimum wage should cover the minimum cost to live. Common sense...

Past few years, never fully embraced @sanders.senate.gov. Given the current state of American politics, I find myself drawn to his views, along with @aoc.bsky.social, more so than the centrist views I've typically aligned with.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Bernie nails it here.✔️
