Greetings Bluesky! I’m Caspar, and my completely non-human space opera THE IMMEASURABLE HEAVEN is out July with Solaris.
I've published some fairly out-there SF under another name, but this was a very different animal that took 7 years off & on to write. Here’s a peek inside if you’re interested.

Stone tool discovery suggests very first humans were inventors
The find shows that the technology was passed down through thousands of generations.

Great to catch up with my old editor, Simon. ‘Tom the Not Unwelcome’ sounds like a useless but cheerful Saxon king that the chroniclers almost forgot about, and I’d be delighted to have that as my epithet
Had a very enjoyable catch-up with "the not unwelcome" (Science Fiction Encyclopaedia) @caspargeon.bsky.social yesterday. You will be hugely relieved to know that we put the entirety of science fiction publishing to rights and that everything is going to be absolutely perfect from now on. Or not.

Found a bunch of sketches I did of the 147th century post-human beasties from my first trilogy, the Amaranthine Spectrum. Had so much fun coming up with these offshoots of humanity and imagining their filthy, chaotic worlds - would love to write another book about them one day

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 154:
Feed your writing daily. Feed it with fiction, non-fiction, news, games, theatre, films, art. Feed it with conversation. Feed it with experience. Feed it with curiosity. Don't expect to get anything out unless you also keep putting in.

My most recent novel is (spoiler, kind of) based on this idea. Link, as they say, in bio.
According to the equations that govern black holes, the larger one of these cosmic behemoths is the lower its average density – given that the universe contains a lot of relatively empty space, could the whole cosmos be a black hole?
Is the universe really one big black hole?

Been hanging onto this very nice bottle that my old friend and most excellent SF author @alrobertson.bsky.social sent me a while back, but I’ve finally had some extremely good book news (which hardly ever happens) so it had better be opened. Also, those bananas need eating by the looks of things.
