Family man, environmental health professional (air quality) - field inspector/data scientist, musician, optimist, and lifelong learner in Pittsburgh, the gateway to the midwest. My statements are mine alone. Yinz/yall.
I took a little time yesterday and got the number of open tabs on my phone browser back under 100. I’m down to 72 now and still going. Aren’t you proud of me?

I have been saying this for something like 15 years and I am so tired, folks: the tactics. Of the right. Don't work. For the left. Because their politics are divisive and anti-community. Ours aren't.

They win when politics is toxic and vicious. We win by building solidarity.

ARISE (1990)
Mixed media - 20” x 20”

I took the opportunity with this commission—an album cover for Sepultura—to experiment and have fun.

After completing a small stack of tone renderings of textures and distorted faces, I photocopied them, cut them out, and recombined them. 1/3

Berger's three laws of chatbotics:

1) The bot should never express emotions.

2) The bot should never praise the user.

3) The bot should never say it understands the user's mental state.

There's no use case for these things, and they're obviously problematic.

If you really must reskeet the Tucker Carlson video, do penance by immediately also skeeting a clip of one of Tucker’s wildest racist rants or fluffing Putin during that interview. Neither you nor I have to “hand it to him”.

I was one of these people with "post treatment lyme disease" (when you continue to have symptoms after the traditional dose of 14 days of doxycycline) so this is amazing news:

This is actually a thing I think about a lot. There are some things you can say (if you're a douche) "I'm really rich so it won't hurt me."
But no matter how wealthy you are, without regulations there is no reliable way to know your food is safe. It's not visible.
the reason this isn't about "food safety tips in a time of deregulation" is because there are none. besides "be very wealthy," maybe, and not even then. this is a collective problem with a collective solution, which we already have, and need to fight for!!!!

My awesome neighbor is taking my two daughters today for Take Yr Kids To Work Day. She’s an organizer with USW, and is teaching a session for all the kids on what/how to strike. I’m sure they will not use this information in my benevolently-run household in the future.

It’s been a while since I’ve been this proud of Ohio. Seeing people run through the crowd to throw money at this raffle to support grassroots trans support orgs was inspiring.
Folks, we raised two grand and change to be split between the two groups. Thank you, Ohio! 💗
CLEVELAND, I’m sorry to say, we ran out of shirts and shirts, BUT, we purposely withheld some records for you - we have THE LAST 2 copies of the original 3 Lookout! releases, and we’re raffling them off in two sets of three, with all proceeds going to #TransOhio and #GenderLiberationMovement
