Hey loves!

Thank you so much for your recent donations! We were able to get closer to our mini-goal of 500 - 1000 (by $70).

As of today, however, my sister and I need to re-up on important medicine (for 200) and need help doing so. If you can donate or repost, we would be eternally grateful 🧡

Gentle reminder that it's not okay to be a bigot to anyone...including bigots.

That isn't taking the high road. It's being a good person.

Don't dehumanize anyone.

This was handed in for a PSYCH CLASS & when the prof said she didn't use empirical sources but rather submitted op-ed she whined about religious liberty + prof got suspended.

I was a *Religious Studies* major; in my time she would have been rightly BBQ'd had she dared to hand in this absolute drek.

Look, if you're not an expert you wouldn't know, but this chart is bullshit. They could not possibly measure this as 1. How can you tell for sure? There's no reliable automated way. 2. You're not counting the many sites that are blocking crawlers now.

But there's an even more important reason...
the internet is now a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy and so on

Hi everybody,

It's Black Friday, a big day for us at The Onion, since we rely almost entirely on your memberships.

Our goal for 2026? More print subscribers than the Washington Post.

This is, somehow, feasible.

So sign up! A year of print is $75 for the year today. Help us do a very funny thing.

Dispatch is excellent, 11/10 story, somewhat meh when it comes to the dispatching (and hacking) mechanic but nothing that brings the game down. It is more like, a mechanic that doesn’t really enhance the game but doesn’t hurt it either

Sometimes I just need a background show (or shows) while I knit or crochet, etc. and somehow tonight the theme has ended up being period dramas made in the 80s that center affairs… Yeah, I dunno how that became the theme either but there’s some great costuming in these films

Before her (too early) death, the amazing Sharon Begley wrote this piece on double helix co-discoverer James Watson and the racist and sexist pronouncements he seemed to revel in making in later life. Fascinating read about a troubling individual.

OK, coming back around to this now.

We broke 20% when my new mayor got elected yesterday, now at $830 as of this post. Another $170 gets us 25% of the way through in only 3 days AND unlocks Metroid Dread streams.

Thank you to everyone that's supported. Please spread the word or give if you can.
I've got an opportunity lined up that should keep me solvent once it starts, but it won't be until about mid-late January, and I'm essentially at the last of my savings now. The $4000 I'm asking for here (ko-fi.com/sjhdoesgames) should be enough to keep me covered until that time. (2/3)

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
