Never thought I needed a two legged dog t-shirt, a few beers in my pal thought otherwise.

who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.

Glasgow remains the most deprived city & local authority area in Scotland - of course, you wouldn’t think it from all the massive SUVs bounding about (loads coming from other LA areas). The time for SUV surcharges is long overdue.

Subsidising private car use is holding our city/ cities back.
Progressive cities move

While Edinburgh ponders, prevaricates, deliberates, delays, deflects, and asks for another consultation
Cardiff will be the first UK city to introduce a surcharge for oversized SUVs and trucks, "while very large vehicles – those over 3,500kg – will be excluded from residential permits entirely."

I'd actually forgotten how extraordinary it is that when I won the leadership - I wasn't interviewed as it was too close to our party conference interviewed.

And then refused a second time!

Part of the antidote to all of this is creating our own media platforms.

Hey @boldpolitics.bsky.social 👋🏼
BBC accused of 'extraordinary' anti-Green bias after party say the Laura Kuenssberg Show scrapped a promised interview with @zackpolanski.bsky.social on Sunday.

Green sources say the show also refused to interview Polanski after he was elected as leader last month

When are we going to see Govt promises upheld?
When are we going to see #FossilFuel companies, (who knew this would happen) forced to pay for their deliberate damage?

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability & quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

How do we decarbonise it?
