Don’t you think? Very failed reality show vibes…
Fake doctor ABC's Mehmet Oz

Fake wresting WWE's Linda McMahon

Fake FOX News' Pete Hegseth

A pattern is emerging.

An important and sobering look at Trump’s plan to use the military to go into towns and forcefully remove immigrants, written by former DOJ prosecutor Harry Litman.

Exactly. It’s called fascism. Step by step.
Molly, I think this is as much about bringing the military under his thumb, by incremental change, as actual deportation.

The end goal is to normalize using the military against any “enemies within” he declares.

“So the question is not whether mass deportation will happen. It’s how big Mr. Trump and his administration will go, and how quickly. How many resources — exactly how much, for example, in the way of emergency military funding — are they willing and able to marshal toward the effort?”
I very much appreciate this from @daralind.bsky.social about what Trump's program of mass deportations is likely to look like, given the bureaucratic and logistical hurdles.

Not to ruin the wonderfully positive vibes on this site, but is anyone else here concerned that American society, politics, and culture have become morally and psychologically addled?

The full low-down on RFK Jr.’s connection to a deadly measles outbreak in Samoa and, just as important, how he lied about it. That’s key. Kennedy is an inveterate liar. He makes up facts & plots, and he lies about what he himself has said. Another con man.

How RFK Jr. Falsely Denied His Connection to a Deadly Measles Outbreak in Samoa
He also championed a Samoan anti-vaxxer tied to the 2019 lethal eruption that killed scores of children.

The Founders put ‘advice and consent’ in the Constitution for a reason. They wanted Senators to have oversight over Cabinet picks of a President to ensure that they were properly vetted. Winning an election 49.89%-48.24 doesn’t dispense with that constitutional responsibility.

Who’s next Tucker as Secretary of State? 🙄
Idiocracy Update: The dude from "Road Rules" has been nominated for Secretary of Transportation.

I'm not joking.

No shit! Doubled with a failed reality show..
The incoming administration may or may not reduce the size or scope of government.

But it will absolutely become the biggest protection racket the world has ever seen.

They gave up on everything

That grifter does whatever he wants and makes the rules fro himself

Who's going to stop him? I'm fucking sick of it
so is anybody even going to bother to go through the motions of calling for Trump to divest from his businesses this time around, or did we just give up on that one too?

At this point, democrats have to concentrate on stopping the ones that will do the most damage.

Forget the distraction nominees. Focus on the serious threats.

Gaetz, Gabbard and Hegseth remain the most problematic.
