My late adopted Jewish father’s family fled what is now Ukraine in 1925. He dropped out of Queen’s University to enlist once letters arrived from non-Jewish neighbours who said they were rounding up Jews. Family who didn’t flee died in The Holocaust. 🪶😡💔
