Another Bug Hunt is awesome, but I really love Dead Planet. Partly nostalgia and partly the fact that as an intro module it teaches a slightly different way to play: by trapping you in terrifying little sandbox.

Another great podcast from @thedungeonplunger.bsky.social . I totally backed this #MothershipMonth project and the interview/discussion has some great tips for running #Mothership and RPGs. I also get a little shoutout which made my day.

It’s been available for years but I don’t think enough people give this edition credit as a very accessible version of the game. If you print on lulu you have great inexpensive copies for your table or to give away to get people excited. Don’t sell them, that would be a —— move.

Cheap and easy to read, all Mork Borg complaints answered. I still think you should buy the real thing though. Its glorious.

Play report with prep notes and whatnots for the first 3 or 4 sessions of my current Twilight:2000 campaign. Just wrapped session 7 last week. Great sandbox game with excellent referee support.

I have been very remiss in any sort of play report for my campaign using Free League’s 4th edition of *Twilight:2000*. I attempt to catch up a bit.

Do #TTRPG s have a grimdark problem?
I explore why endless bleakness isn’t always as “mature” as it looks—and how games like #PirateBorg and #Mothership show different ways to handle darkness.

I’ve shared my thoughts on how #OSR play handles morality and would love to hear your take.

I could probably be convinced to run a campaign using D&D 2024 but I’d have to excise some (read many) of the options and tropes to really get behind it. To be honest I’d do something like this even if I were going to play with OSE or some other OSR clone.
Addition by Subtraction: If I ran Dungeons & Dragons 2024…
Not saying I will. Not saying I won’t. If I did, there probably wouldn’t be any dragons… My first ever RPG was 3rd Edition D&D. It was probably 20...
