Fresh data shows Hungary’s population fell below 9.5M, down from just under 10M when Orbán took power in 2010 — despite mass naturalization of the diaspora and people moving to Hungary. Losses to Western Europe and the failure of “pro-family” policies still outweighed the gains.
📉🇭🇺 INVESTIGATION: Viktor Orbán vowed to boost Hungary’s population without immigrants. But births keep falling—and emigration is soaring. Direkt36's investigation shows many young people are leaving, posing serious risks for the country’s future.
Inside Viktor Orbán’s Failure to Achieve His Demographic Goal - VSquare.org
The Prime Minister has long said that he would like to grow the population of Hungary without bringing in immigrants. Recently, births have fallen, but the number of people leaving the country has also soared.

We need to start with our own maximalist plans
What option is there?

If I rob a bank, lawyers may give mitigating evidence, but I'm still locked up. I don't get to keep half the cash I stole

If I break into someone's house at gunpoint, I don't keep the downstairs in a deal

🇺🇦 Zelensky: The crux of the entire diplomatic situation is that it was Russia, and only Russia, that started this war, and it is Russia, and only Russia, that has been refusing to end it throughout the full-scale invasion.

This is, in essence, the only peace plan that will actually work. And it would probably have the massive advantage of bringing down the Putin regime and bringing an end to the wholesale anti-democratic subversion that his regime has been perpetrating.
Here's a seven-point peace plan:

‘the estate agent’ ❤️
I should add the above demands for peace officially came from Ukraine's Euro allies: it would seem "ungrateful" for Ukraine to issue this straight after the meeting with Rubio & the estate agent.

Meanwhile Kharkiv, Poltava and now parts of Dnipropetrovsk regions have no power.

Had a great evening watching @mattgreencomedy.com live. Worth doing if you get the chance – the live show has content that you won’t see online. And if you have concerns about that, they are definitely not legitimate.

Today is 92nd anniversary of Holodomor. Soviet Russia inflicted a man made famine on Ukraine that killed millions. Today we are trying to wipe the country off the map.

The only difference is the USA is on our side now.

I’ve been in a room with Putin. He calls Ukrainians “Russians with accents.” His real fear isn’t NATO expansion, it’s democracy expansion. It shatters his entire argument for dictatorship at home. Because if Ukrainians embrace freedom, Russians may demand the same.

You ever just sit down and realize that the rise of 21st century fascism is capital's answer to climate change?

I do hope all those sycophants in Congress who support Ukraine actually take to the streets and organise protests against this anti democratic and anti-US tyranny.

This is a despicable betrayal of US values.

The Guardian points out that the document Trump is forcing Ukraine to sign was highly likely to have been written in Russian by a Russian. Then translated in a way not natural for a native English speaker.

Agent Orange is literally on the verge of doing Putin's work and killing a free nation.

MARKWAYNE MULLIN: It's a win for both. Kyiv was never gonna be able to put back into Ukraine -- not Kyiv, but uh, uh, uh, my mind has slipped me

V: Crimea

M: Crimea. They kind of see themselves as more Russian anyways

The Trump administration is a wholly owned subsidiary of Russia.
🚨🚨This is no "peace" plan, it is a recipe for further suffering and #Russian imperialist expansion in the #west. It is difficult to appreciate just how much damage the #trump administration has done to #Ukraine and its war efforts. It is disgusting beyond words. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...
