I want to take a moment to thank the entire Elias Law Group team who worked on the Texas redistricting case as well as our fearless clients. The thirteen Black and Latino voters we represented stood up to challenge Texas's unprecedented mid-decade redistricting. We all ow them a debt of gratitude.

@hcrichardson.bsky.social Catching up on your podcasts and got to the 11/12 one. I didn’t realize that that first Epstein email was a reference to a Sherlock Holmes story. I thought the comment that trump was the dog that hadn’t barked meant that trump had not givn info to the police abt Epstein yet

Q: A provision was added allowing senators to sue the US govt for $500k. What do you say to that?

JEFFRIES: House Democrats are gonna offer an amendment before the Rules Committee to get that self-dealing sick provision out of the spending agreement

When I read the full transcript of the interview, I realized there had been no pushback, no corrections, no challenging follow-ups. The entire interview had been an open-ended opportunity for Trump to tell rambling lies, only to have them cleaned up into a more polished product.

Trump posts crazy stuff like this at times where he feels like he’s not getting enough attention and wants people to start talking about him again. It’s deranged, narcissistic behavior.

Jeffries: "Trump needs to instruct his employees here in the Capitol -- that would be Johnson and Thune. They work for Trump, not the American people. In fact, Trump is the one who recently said 'I'm the president & the speaker!' Extraordinary stuff. Trump is openly mocking Republican leaders."

Donald Trump is telling his DOJ to prosecute people involved in defeating him in 2020. He will claim the 2025 California referendum was fraudulent. He is going to try to impose voter ID and ban mail-in and early voting for 2026.

I will do everything I can in the courtroom and in public to stop him.

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

If we are taking in “trillion” of dollars in tariffs:

1. Why haven’t we paid down a cent of the debt?

2. Why can’t we afford to not fuck millions of people over with expiring insurance subsidies?

3. Why is none of it being used to help the abysmal job market?

Stephen Miller just said the quiet part out loud claiming that Trump has plenary authority when it comes to deploying troops. (Plenary means full authority.) After making the statement, he froze completely, like a deer in headlights. The video is worth watching.

This was genuinely not-horrible from Jeffries.

No rescission. No impoundment.

But the tax cuts works.

Will the Supreme Court revisit its ruling on same-sex marriage?
In 2015, shortly after the Supreme Court recognized a constitutional right to same-sex marriage in Obergefell v. Hodges, a local county clerk from Kentucky made national headlines when she refused […]
