‘Salt Path’ author Sally Walker (aka ‘Raynor Winn’) was arrested for embezzling c£60,000 from her employer, then disappeared. She and her husband Tim Walker took out a high interest loan to repay her employer in exchange for avoiding prosecution. When this loan was called in, they lost their house.
