This might be controversial but I do think that Nintendo should exercise some base line quality control on the eShop. Genuinely very well made games like Grapple Dogs are routinely buried under a weekly avalanche of absolute trash churned out in bad faith. They need to regain control of it.

Grief group wisdom today. "The word 'love' gets tossed around a lot, but it means different things: I love my dog, I love chocolate cake, I love my wife. The word 'grief' is the same. It's not one word but many, coloring everything with a thousand different meanings and emotions." 💕 #Grief #hospice

Had a beautiful conversation this morning about the nonbinary experience.

Shout out to anyone who is nonbinary, and to anyone with nonbinary people in their family.

I am happy you are in this world, you belong here, you deserve to be seen, you deserve to be loved. 💙❤️

Genuinely same. The internet has punished generosity and kindness, and has fostered an environment where people are scared to form genuine connections with each other. Tenderness has always been seen as a "" weakness"" unfortunately, but now it's seen as being pathetic. How? Why?
I wish negativity wasn't so popular online. Some creators having to be mean and tear down others to stay relevant. We really need to boost positivity and uplift others.

I hate how everything fuckin' sucks now. I would be SO willing to spend more money on higher quality items, but it feels like nobody makes that good shit anymore because it's not a sustainable business model. Even "small businesses" are just dropshipping down. Sucks complete ass. Grr!
Anyone else feel like whenever something breaks the only recourse is to buy the newer, much shittier version of that same thing, because nobody makes anything to the quality standard of the old broken one anymore?

Politics is just the way we make society together. Whenever someone says "I am apolitical" I hear "I am not vested in the shared project of making society" and I have to wonder why.

“This is not a ‘progressive left’ issue — the vast majority of Democrats support ending arms sales to Israel.”
Most Americans Want to Stop Arming Israel. Politicians Don’t Care.
The number of Americans opposed to sending arms to Israel has grown, month after month, as the brutal war on Gaza grinds on.

The Internet Archive's lending library was so helpful for my research on the history of psyops. There are tons of primary sources like government documents, plus obscure, out-of-print books that can reveal a lot. This ruling against them is a blow to the public sphere. www.wired.com/story/intern...

This was not a collective decision. It was the will of the capitalist class, enforced on us through their various mechanisms, and tapping into the individualism and racism that have always powered U.S.-style capitalism.
If we don't analyze the problem correctly, we have no chance of solving it.
"America’s collective decision in the 20th century to make cars and the roads serving them the bedrock of all urban planning will go down in history as another of our nation’s ruinous ideas that we clung to for generations, like slavery or lead paint."
