Since 2011, working-age women have fared worse than men on many diseases.

Poor health also contributes to economic inactivity and addressing this is a government priority. But greater focus is needed on women who spend more of their working years living in ill health.

Back in 2008 I worked on the introduction of Continuing Health Care (with your Mum, @ollybenson.uk). It was supposed to ensure that the care people needed to live as well as possible was funded appropriately. It wasn't supposed to be used to deny care. I was proud of what we did then. I'm not now.
