I have a new short story! It’s a standalone set in the world of my novels, featuring two side characters who have a steamy main character night. It’s available everywhere, including my direct Payhip store🥰

Self-soothing with the Megan Follows Anne of Green Gables. I’ve read the books countless times. I’ve watched the two films over and over. Jonathan Crombie was one of my first crushes. And I still tear up seventeen minutes in when Matthew says, “You can talk all you like. I don’t mind.”

I have listened to it twice more since this post. I have other books on my ebook reader and in Libro, but I just want to wallow in this story
I have a terrible book hangover, and it seems hair of the dog is the only solution. I’ll be bingelooping the audio edition of The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy until further notice 🎧📖 #booksky

This morning, a cashier I see often on my weekly Friday morning grocery trip said, « See you next week, » and that just about made my day ☺️

I took a J-term class on Tom Stoppard’s play Arcadia, co-taught by a theatre professor/director and an advanced maths professor. It was incredible
What was your favorite early clas NOT in your eventual major. Mine was Ethnomusicology: an introduction to folk music.
I invariably get, "Ooh anthro that was my favorite class/cool professor" from people I meet. I tend to think soms of it is our outré material, being willing to talk "taboo" subjects in a cross-cultural context.

Ironically MY favorite class was probably Geology 101...

I don’t talk about my day job a ton, but that’s honestly because I find it enjoyable. I like what we do, and I like my team and my place in it. This interview with our CTO highlights a lot of the reasons why.

NYC friends: this poor dog was almost on his freedom ride out of the pound when his foster didn't show up on him. He's now in danger of being put down. Do you have space in your home and heart to adopt him? ❤️

Also, lots of animals at this NYC shelter who need a home.

Louder for the trolls in the back. LLMs were trained on stolen human work. They don’t know anything. They are unregulated, unrefined regurgitation machines.
I keep seeing reports of non-AI users being told that an AI detector has dubbed their work AI generated, and it makes me insane because:
1) AI detection tools *are themselves AI* and thus entirely bullshit; and
2) if an AI was trained on your works, of COURSE it’ll flag you as sounding “like” AI!
