Anyone who tells you that the BBC has mishandled the Iran story is talking nonsense. BBC Persian, in particular, has done a superb job of covering the protests. That is despite the regime's threats to the outlet's staff and their families in Iran.

Not one person has lost their job or been forced to apologise for supporting Israel’s genocide.

You can support the mass murder of Muslims & you will never be in danger of losing your job in media or politics or the arts or business or education.

Suggest Israel are wrong, & you will be targeted.

Time to stop writing articles about the "security" or "economic" reasons to capture Greenland, they are irrelevant
Not everyone believed me when I wrote that Trump wants Greenland becuase it would make him feel important, but that's what he told the NYT:

When asked why he needed to possess the territory, he said: “Because that’s what I feel is psychologically needed for success"

If a website appeared overnight that gave hundreds of millions of users the opportunity to create CSAM you'd expect governments to shut it down quickly, so the question is why X gets a pass when it's done just that?

Australian ABC morning radio bulletins led with the claim that a driver was shot after trying to run over an ICE agent. After a year of such claims being proven to be lies, it's galling we still hear them presented as the leading statement without even a nod to this history of lies.

After the Cold War, the US itself closed or sharply downsized many military facilities in Greenland, including Sondrestrom Air Base and early-warning radar sites. Denmark remained a loyal ally, and did not object to US presence. Claims of Danish security neglect are fallacious.

I am extremely confused as to why the UK government and police are saying Grok’s mass-scale CSAM generation is an issue for Ofcom.

This isn’t about X failing to moderate CSAM, which is an Online Safety Act issue. It is about the company and its technology being actively involved in its generation.

And this is exactly, why we have to deny them even this "draw". Russia is weak and it is time to knock them out for good, so that we do not have to deal with this problem in the future, again.

Blows my mind that some of the same journalists who see Trump as a want-to-be dictator at home are earnestly discussing the "challenges" for this same man to "bring democracy" to a country it just illegal invaded. Please grow up.

Joining the EU has been a magic ticket to prosperity for former Russian satellite states. Bulgaria is now going vertical.

This will happen for Ukraine, and it's Putin's nightmare. Ukraine’s resources, size, brainpower and location assure it will make even Poland's success small on comparison.

One of the unacknowledged advantages of this awful era is that it's revealing for all to see the putrid connections between great wealth and great power.

The intentions of the oligarchs are fully exposed and more blatant than ever.

But remember: We outnumber the oligarchs.

Btw, invoking the Cuban Missile Crisis to justify/explain Ru’s aggression in Ukraine is a disqualifying level of idiocy. 7 decades later, Cuba still has a hostile, anti-American regime. When Ru invaded Ukr over a Ukr domestic issue, Ukr was neutral, had no Western weapons, or a NATO invitation.
