This is the thing here - it’s pretty obvious the Dems don’t want to abolish ICE (right now), but the genie is out of the bottle. Normies are screaming for ICE agents’ heads. You can’t slap a rainbow sticker on this one bsky.app/profile/atta...
If the political opposition doesn’t put these ICE & CBP institutional criminals in prison, annihilate their budgets, purge the datasets and repeal their authorities, this will keep happening. And that opposition will reveal itself as a false, controlled opposition that is no less predatory on people

I’m still using Pandora for music, no Spotify algorithm can match my 15yrs of “thumbs up” playlists
Spotify is crashing HARD because of the boycott. Their stock dropped 11% in value over the last month. Let’s keep this going!

Tell everyone you know to boycott Spotify. There are plenty of alternatives that don’t run ICE advertisements and screw over artists.

We made it easy at boycottspotify.com.

Goddamnit, another IG advert for a frivolous product i very much want to buy. But integrity means that I won’t. I did not consent to be enticed by brass key-blanks that look like medieval castle keys, or like Victorian drawer handles

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

Today is the 60th(!) anniversary of the first public report on the dangers of fossil fuel pollution.

What happened? A whole lot of fossil fuel bullsh*t and corruption in service of a whole lot of nothing.

All while pollution and warming escalated far beyond what scientist predicted in 1965.
This Whole Thing Really Snuck Up On Us
Looking back, and ahead, on the anniversary of a White House warning.

In hindsight, that billionaire’s submersible that smooshed, we shouldn’t have been so hard on them using a gaming controller for steering. It makes perfect sense. I can still blame that guy for everything else, but the controller is fine.

Sorry, I was distracted thinking about that “don’t worry, be happy” song.

Sorry, I was just remembering a joke from a 30 year old movie

Sorry, what’s that? I was just imagining how a bat “sees” with its ears

New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

There is something truly remarkable about Generative AI.

Several years in this revolution, half of the US GDP dumped to make these tools free, and i can't think of a single generated artifact, text, image, sound, video that had a significant cultural impact.

Utah has just approved a 1,300-person “mega camp” for homeless individuals,This camp lacks transportation, features locked units, and even imposes forced labor.

They refer to this facility as “work-conditioned housing,” but we simply call it what it is: modern-day internment.
