Attempted to copy a field from an excel spreadsheet to paste into a form in a web browser, and I received a Clipboard Error:
"We couldn't copy the content to the clipboard because it's in use by another application."
What the fuck is windows doing that the clipboard needs to be thread safe???

Fun fact: when I visit my partner in the UK, VPNs are the only thing that let's me handle various things like paying my power bill or checking messages from my doctor because they are region locked to the US.

Relatedly I think journalism could maybe use stronger professional style norms around not anthropomorphizing the computer systems we report on/reference in our writing.
My all-purpose AI reform is banning computers from pretending they are human. Having names, saying "I," pretending to have feelings, representing what they emit as "advice," etc. That's where much of the mischief starts.
