Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

Thankful for our Caucus jumping on this so quickly — we’re not going back!
House Republicans want to end marriage equality in Michigan. While they come for your rights, we have your back. 🏳️‍🌈

Michigan is the Great Lakes State -- we are surrounded by fresh water yet not every household has access to clean, affordable drinking water.

Michiganders support water affordability.

Let's get it done. #mileg
Passing our #wateraffordability legislation not only is the moral thing to do for Michigan families struggling to pay their bills.

It's also the smart thing to do to protect our public health.

It's the prudent thing to do for the stability of our cities and townships' water providers. #mileg

House Democrats were in the minority for 12 years and as a caucus we showed up to work through the end, no matter how much we disagreed with what was being voted on. Republicans have been the minority for 2 and just went home.

Remember that books are going to be harder to find. Public libraries might be something that they go after. I know that food is #1 priority, but knowledge should be in your top 5.

Please stay safe and please educate yourself.

Hey MI folks who want to help our fellow Michiganders who are undocumented. The best way right now is passing Drive SAFE. Keeps folks from being picked up for driving w/o a license (bc difficult not impossible to exist here w/o one) & keeps us all safer.
