BREAKING: Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have cast decisive votes against Biden's NLRB nominee. This means the Democrats will not secure control of the national labor regulator through 2026. These two Senators effectively handed Trump control of the board when his term begins.

a lot of people simply don’t even know what capitalism is at this point. it’s not markets or exchange or anything like that. it’s just you do labor, someone else profits from it, and then they give you a wage less than the value of your labor. that’s what exploitation means

I love law for its absurdism. I love nothing more than to read a serious philosophical discourse on one's civil liberties, personal freedoms, and constitutional rights, all because of a breathlyzer test with the dumbest name you've ever heard, like the INTOXIMETER 3000.

the Trump administration should drop the pretense and just do an NBA style draft to select its remaining Cabinet positions and other federal appointments. scouts can trawl through local sex offender registries to find talent and they can do a combine where they test logical leaps and lie frequency

I just wanna point out that the existence of the NLRB and labor unions is the “moderate compromise” option and prior to that things like “running gun battles in the street” and “burning the boss’s house down with everyone in it” were on the table as negotiating tactics
